Anti DDoS Reverse Proxy
A reverse proxy for DDoS protection is something different than an anonymous proxy. While an anonymous proxy can be used to cloak your local IP and stay anonymous, a reverse proxy can be used to cloak and protect the IP address a website is being hosted on. This is a common method for remote DDoS protection, as it allows to hide and protect the hosting server without having to migrate it to a DDoS protected facility. NGINX is a very common software that's often being used for a HTTP reverse proxy, although the same can be archived with Hiawatha or Apache.
